Dies geschieht durch Mittel wie Perspektive (sudies of skin), Ausschnitt (o-live), Langzeitbelichtung (studies of motion), im Falle von "Folia" durch eine Transprojektion der Negative durch dünne, stark strukturierte japanische Papiere, oder, wie im aktuellen Projekt „Degrees“, durch das Einfrieren von Objekten.
Künstlerische Intention ist es, die visuelle Festschreibung der abgelichteten Objekte zu behindern, in Frage zu stellen oder gar aufzulösen um diese Objekte in eine lebendig-empfindsame Wahrnehmbarkeit zu führen und so einer wuchernden Rezeption anzubieten.
my photographic work trys to create views of a potent presence. I am trying to find a way from sensation to awareness. natural sensation thus must be bent just far enough to free sights and see what is hidden. Lyotard says: „It’ s all about a biased view at the visable, which is anomalous to an extent that lets us note something which is not evident.“
In my work I try to achive this by making use of perspective (studies of skin), cropping (o-live), time exposure (studies of motion), using structured japanese papers as a layer in the darkroom-process (folia), freezing objects in cubes of water (degrees) or realizing macrophotographic tecniques in improvisational and performance-like ways.
through any of these processes I attempt to free the traditional views on objects/subjects from one-dimensional/identifying sensation to a free flow of awareness.

digitale farbphotographien sind als fine art pigmentdrucke auf hochqualitativen, kartonstarken papieren der firma „hahnemühle“ oder als lambda-print auf „fujicolor crystal archive“ papier erhältlich.
I print all of the b/w prints on baryta paper by traditional fine print techniques in my own darkroom. all oft them are toned in selenium to achieve fine tonal subtleties and best archival qualities.
my digital (colour) work is available as lambda-print on fujicolor crystal archive paper or pigment print on paper by hahnemühle.
